Chair
Nadia Marzella, MS, RDN, CSR, LD
A graduate of Colorado State University’s coordinated MS/DI program, Nadia is currently celebrating her 20th year as a Registered Dietitian. Nadia started her career in dietetics in the acute care setting before moving into dialysis 12 years ago. Nadia recently stepped into the position of Manager, Nutrition Services for Zone 1 of the North Georgia Region for Fresenius Medical Care after working as a facility dietitian in the Lake Lanier Area. Nadia previously worked for DaVita and was a Region Point Dietitian in the Lumineers Division in Massachusetts. When not at work, you can find Nadia in the stands at school sporting events supporting her two teenage daughters or in her small (but manageable) home garden.

Chair Elect
Patti Scott, RDN, LD
Patti graduated from Georgia State University with a Bachelor’s degree in food and dietetics and is celebrating 33 years as a Registered Dietitian. She started her dietetics career in acute care, long term care, and consulting until she discovered the world of renal. Patti worked as a Renal Dietitian for 15 years for various independent dialysis companies and eventually DaVita where she was the Region Point Dietitian. She is currently a Senior Account Executive for Pentec Health. Patti is married to her husband of 32 years, Henry, and they have 2 grown daughters and 1 grandson. When she isn’t working, she enjoys being outdoors near the water and spending time with her family.

Past Chair
Gillian Harriott, MS, RD, LD
Gillian is an accomplished dietitian with extensive experience in clinical settings. She holds a
Bachelor of Science degree with honors from the University of the West Indies (UWI) in
Kingston, Jamaica, and an Advanced Diploma in Human Nutrition. Her passion for the field led
her to pursue a Master of Science degree from Florida International University, after which she
became a Registered Dietitian through a secured internship. Gillian has had the pleasure of working in various clinical settings, including hospital inpatient care, long term care, outpatient settings, and consulting. Currently, she is working as a dietitian with DaVita where she has gained immeasurable experience from working with patients in multiple clinic settings with different modalities. Gillian is not only passionate about her work but also strives to continue growing in her position. Gillian's expertise and dedication to her profession extend beyond her clinical work. Since 2013, she has been a member of the GCRN, where she has held multiple positions including chair, chair elect and treasurer. Gillian is a proud mother of three children, Ashley, Kristen, and Aiden, and has been married to her husband, John, for 27 years. Her family loves traveling together and collectively has visited over 25 countries worldwide. Gillian is the recipient of the 2020 Georgia Renal Dietitian of the Year award.

Treasurer
Rob Meadows, MBA, RD, LD
Rob has been a dietitian for 24 years. He is currently the Director of Business Development for Patient Care America and has held roles in varies companies including RD, FA, Sales, and Sales Leadership. Rob has been a member of GCRN since 2001 and is currently the Treasurer. He has held other roles including Chair, Chair Elect, and Education Chair. He received Outstanding Georgia Dietitian award from GCRN in 2009 and holds many company awards and recognitions. Rob is married to his wife Carrie for 24 years and has a 16 yo daughter and 14 yo son. He is an avid Mountain biker who loves active hobbies and sports including skateboarding, snowboarding, golf, bowling, and billiards.

Scott Kimner, MPH, RD, LD
Scott has been a dietitian for 15 years. He is currently a Senior Nutrition Therapy Consultant with Patient Care America and has been with the company for 7 years. Prior to working with Patient Care America, Scott was a renal dietitian with Southside Kidney Systems in Stockbridge, GA for almost 6 years. Scott has been a member with GCRN since 2011 and is the current Supporting Membership Chair and Social Media Chair for GRNA. During his tenure on the GCRN Board, he has held multiple positions including Chair, Chair Elect, Secretary, and Newsletter, and was a board member with the NKF Council on Renal Nutrition in 2021 as the Region 2 Alternate Representative. He was awarded the GCRN 2018 Georgia Renal Dietitian of the Year, featured in Today’s Dietitian Magazine’s 11th Annual Showcase of 10 RDs Who are Making a Difference in 2020, and many other company awards and recognitions. Outside of work, Scott is a 5th dan black belt at Rockdale Taekwondo where he has been a Kukkiwon Taekwondo Instructor for over 20 years. He is happily married to his wife, Linda, for 13 years and has a 10-year-old son named Aiden and a 6-year-old son named Jacob. He enjoys martial arts, traveling, camping, gaming, and spending time with his family.

Secretary & Rules and Regulations
Christine Benedetti, MS, RDN, CSR, CCTD, LD
Christine is a Board Certified Specialist in Renal Nutrition working at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta with over 15 years experience in the nephrology field, including adults and pediatrics. With a passion for education, she leads the Clinical Nutrition Internship Program at Children's, offering general pediatric nutrition and renal-specific rotations, and has spoken at several national conferences, including the National Kidney Foundation’s (NKF) Spring Clinical Meetings (SCM) and Pediatric Renal Nutrition Academies (Intro & Advanced). Christine continues as the lead organizer for an annual 2-day Pediatric Nutrition Conference at Children's since 2018. She brings experience from years on various nonprofit Executive Boards in the nephrology field, including the NKF Council on Renal Nutrition, the NKF SCM Program Committee, the Georgia Renal Nutrition Association, Georgia Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (GAND), and the Pediatric Renal dietitians of North America (PRONA). In 2014, she was awarded the NKF Recognized Regional Dietitian of the Year award for Region 2 and the Georgia Renal Dietitian of the Year award, in 2020 the AND RPG Outstanding Service Award, and in 2021 NKF's Recognized Renal Dietitian of the Year award. Christine loves the opportunity to promote the nephrology nutrition field and the incredible dietitians within it. Outside of work, she cherishes time with her husband and four little girls, cooking, traveling, and playing tennis.

Ashley Ramgeet, RD, LD
Ashley is a graduate of Florida State University and completed her dietetic internship through Southern Regional Medical Center. She brings eight years of experience as a dietitian. Ashley started her career as a dietitian working at WellStar hospital and transitioned to public health where she worked for five years becoming a Nutrition Manager of one of the largest WIC programs. Ashley currently works a Pediatric Renal Dietitian for DaVita Kidney Care. She has also been working very closely with other pediatric renal dietitians and upper-level management within DaVita to build DaVita’s pediatric training curriculum. She also sits on the board of the newly established Diet to Lifestyle Dietetic Internship Program. Ashley brings an upbeat and fun spirit to her work and enjoys putting together the “puzzle pieces” to help patients achieve their goals. Ashley loves to travel internationally, at least one time a year, with her family and friends. She also really enjoys a good shopping trip as well as a good lazy weekend.

Awards
Ruba Jibreen, MBA, MS, RD, CSR, LD
Ruba Jibreen is a Board Certified Specialist in Renal Nutrition with a Masters degree in Nutrition and a Masters of Business Administration. She has served in the renal field for a total of 15 years, with most of her career taking place at DaVita. More recently, she resides at Emory, where she serves as the Manager of the Renal Dietitian Team. Ruba is an active volunteer in the renal field at both the national and local levels. She has been a Board member of the NKF Council on Renal Nutrition (CRN) for 6 consecutive years, with 2 terms as an Alternate Representative and 1 term as a Representative for Region 2. Ruba is currently a member of the CRN Continuing Education Review Committee. She served as a Board Member at what was previously the GCRN, working on many committees as the Chair, Chair-elect, Membership Chair, Treasurer, and now Awards Chair for the GRNA. Alongside her professional work, Ruba has also been active in raising awareness of kidney disease by participating in local community events, such as the kidney walk and health fairs.
